Power
Unless we hear differently, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning will continue to be powered by two electric motors with standard all-wheel drive. The 131 kWh battery used in the Extended Range variant has a 320 mile range, compared to the 98 kWh battery utilized in the Standard Range model. Ford says that the Extended Range battery and two motors will enable the 2023 Lightning to generate 563 horsepower and 775 lbs-ft of torque. The projected payload is around 2,000 pounds, and the maximum towing capability is 10,000 pounds (when outfitted with the Max Trailer Tow package and Extended Range battery). A standard 80-amp charging station will also be included with the Extended Range battery.
